Someone asked me the other day whether Telediscount has the cheapest access numbers rates for international calls.

I decided to do a quick check. I took 5 very popular destinations and the results were rather surprising. Of the 5 countries I chose all 5 were considerably cheap with Mootel’s access numbers than Telediscount’s access numbers.

Some years ago I used Telediscount’s access numbers to call South Africa, at one stage they were 2p to call South Africa. Everyone I knew were using them because it was so cheap. After a few weeks the rate went to 3p then to 4p and the quality of the line was very poor – but who cared since it was so cheap? This I have since heard is a recurring occurance with Telediscount.

Back to those 5 countries.
