Hello my name is Betsy and I am from Dublin, Ireland. I moved to London, UK in 1999 with my sister Geraldine. We came to London to work and were offered various jobs in call centres and bar jobs at O’Neils in South West London. I often called my parents in Ireland and the rest of my family in the United States but this was costing me so much money every month. I was literally paying BT hundreds of pounds every month for the international calls that I was making.

I decided to do something about it and started investigating how to make cheap international calls. It was then that I discovered Mozzietel – a website offering cheap ways to call abroad. I worked with them for a few years and then in May 2009 left and set up my own business called www.mootel.co.uk.
Mootel helps people make international calls from their landline or mobile phone and our rates start at only 1p per minute. Our lines are good quality and our rates are very competitive in the telecoms market.

I am constantly looking to reduce our rate where possible and to help save money on international calls.
A little about me – I love Britain but am getting sick and tired of the stories that appear in the paper day after day such as yobs making life a misery for some, foreign immigrants taking the piss with state benefits as well as the health and safety over reaction in this country. My blog highlights some of these stories – read but I can’t be responsible for your blood boiling. (that’s my health & safety warning).

I have an active social life and count Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Sir Philip Green, Sir Alan Sugar, Mark Zuckerberg and David and Victoria Beckham as close friends. When I am not spending my free time with one of my close friends I like to spend the weekend with my parents in Dublin.
